Das Einmaleins der... Radsport-Hydrierung

The basics of...cycling hydration

I want to be honest with you. Of course, I've known for a while that hydration is important during my rides. Drinking enough sounds so easy. Funny how hard it can be. Staying hydrated is one of the best things you can do to improve your performance and increase your endurance. I like to say it's the insider tip for better performance. So let's take a closer look at how much you should drink before, during and after a workout.

PREVIOUSLY:

As your body temperature increases, your performance tends to decrease. It is therefore important that you lose as little liquid as possible. Long story short, make it a habit to drink as much as you can before your ride. It is best to prepare sufficiently for the day the evening before. You check your bike before you set off? Well! Also check your water bottle and drink! We recommend adding a little caffeine and a holistic electrolyte blend to your prep for optimal hydration.

DURING:

The amount of liquid you need during your ride varies greatly. We recommend drinking 500ml every 30 to 60 minutes to be on the safe side. Maintain a holistic electrolyte mix for your overall performance and body functionality. The longer the journey, the more you should pay attention to carbohydrate replacement.

LATER:

After you sweat on your tour, don't forget to replace the nutrients you've lost. Electrolytic drinks help you replace the nutrients and salt you've lost through sweat. Depending on how you're feeling, you can also eat carbs to restore your energy levels.

Is there anything else? For me yes! It's all about good taste. I like to start with grapefruit, continue with melon and finish with yuzu. You do not know what I mean? Take a close look at our products and tell me what your favorite flavor is.
